Terms of Service
Welcome to DocGenie ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of docgenie.work (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance
By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What DocGenie Is — and Isn't
DocGenie is a self-help document generator that uses AI to draft legal and business documents from your inputs. DocGenie is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Documents we produce are starting points for your own use or for review by a qualified attorney.
We make no warranty that any generated document is legally sufficient for your situation. See our legal disclaimer for details.
3. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You will not:
- Use the Service to commit fraud or impersonate another person or entity.
- Submit content you don't have the right to submit.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, sanitization, or other security measures.
- Use generated documents in any way that violates applicable law.
4. Intellectual Property
Documents generated for you are yours to use. Our prompts, templates, code, and branding remain ours. You grant us a non-exclusive license to store and serve the documents you generate for the duration of your use of the Service.
5. Free and Paid Tiers
The free tier permits up to 3 generated documents per month and applies a watermark to PDF output. Paid tiers (when available) remove the watermark, add DOCX export, and lift the monthly cap.
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time and clear your browser's storage to disassociate from your saved documents.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) FEES YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (b) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of generated documents, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, where DocGenie is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Tallinn, Estonia, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
